Sauer Energy to Partner With Communications Expert, ENRCOM, SA de CV

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEWBURY PARK, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/21/12 -- Sauer Energy, Inc.™ ("SEI™") (OTCBB: SENY), a developer of home and enterprise scale vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) systems, announced today that it has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) outlining its intention to enter into a pilot program with ENRCOM, SA de CV (ENRCOM), for renewable energy distribution in Mexico. This strategic alliance, via Letter of Intent, can provide a much needed renewable energy solution for cellular telephone tower networks with electricity from a hybrid wind/solar power system. We are pleased to announce that both companies are in various stages of contract negotiations with several companies, with site locations and timeframes already in place.

About ENRCOM ENRCOM, (Energy and Communications) specializes in AltE system solutions for telecommunications network operators who want to reduce their dependence on expensive fossil fuels and to operate "off-grid" facilities in an environmentally friendly way. The ENRCOM Power Tower® provides a complete alternative energy power plant designed specifically to power mobile phone tower sites in urban, rural or remote areas. At the tower site, ENRCOM installs a 1.5 kW vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) on the tower (30 meter level) and a 3 kW solar PV array mounted below on the tower base. The "green" power generates electricity into a battery bank to continuously power the Base Transceiver Station (BTS) and the tower obstruction lights or power can be switched back into the electrical grid for "net metering" and power company credits.

ENRCOM uses wind power in two other products: the TeleStation® and the TeleCenter®. The TeleStation® uses the hybrid wind/solar power plant mounted on a 50' tower to support the VAWT and WiFi or micro BTS cellular antennas and a Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) at the tower base to backhaul voice, data or video communications via satellite to the Internet. ENRCOM produces fixed and transportable versions of the TeleStation® used for rapid deployment and disaster recovery. The company's TeleCenter® product is built into the ubiquitous 20' ISO cargo container for shipping worldwide and once at the customer's site, the container is unpacked and a complete AltE power supply and telecom system is installed on the container with the interior used as an Internet kiosk, classroom or clinic.

Stuart Browne, ENRCOM's founder and CTO, said, "We spent a considerable effort to find an efficient, rugged and reliable wind turbine for use in our system integrated solutions. The telecom industry is known for its robust networks with high reliability and the Sauer Energy WindCharger™ meets our customers' stringent reliability requirements." For more information about ENRCOM, visit: www.enrcom.com Pilot Project Sauer Energy will deploy its WindCharger™ turbine model, designed and built using proprietary technologies, for testing at tower sites in Mexico and the U.S. These first test units will be mounted in various environmental conditions and be constantly monitored for energy production data.

Upon producing the positive results expected, the WindCharger™ will be ready to fill the demand for ENRCOM's PowerTower® solution. New or existing cellular communication towers will be fitted for mounting of one to three WindCharger™ systems using a tower mounting bracket jointly designed by ENRCOM and Sauer Energy.

The surge of cellular towers leased to third parties in Latin America will reach 45,000 by 2015, according to ABI Research. Presently, there are some 350,000 such towers, of which 19,000 are shared between operators or owned by independent companies.

The business plan is very profitable. Though expensive, the owner of the tower can rent its use to multiple tenants who use the infrastructure simultaneously. Due to regulatory conditions, building new towers is largely driven by adding new tenants to existing towers. The WindCharger™ was chosen to ensure 24/7 backup power for uninterrupted cellular service and when the tower site is "grid-tied," to send power back into the utility grid for credits.

"We feel that the utilization of our WindCharger™ could be a game-changing clean energy solution with a promise of a proven technology to protect the performance of towers for ENRCOM's customers. Both companies are poised to enjoy a long and lucrative partnering relationship," stated Dieter Sauer, CEO and President of Sauer Energy Inc.

Letter of Intent ENRCOM and Sauer Energy will evaluate additional initiatives at corporate level, support each other in joint marketing and analyze the advancement of technological cooperation in the field of research and development of new energy distribution. The first step will be a successful cooperation of building a strategic framework in adaptation of cellular communication towers for satisfaction of continual service.

The Mexican and Latin American cellular service providers will raise their standard of service delivery with confidence when they choose ENRCOM's PowerTower® with renewable backup by Sauer Energy.

"We are enthusiastic about the prospect of working with ENRCOM and matching our technology with their demand for renewable energy. Together, we can make ours the technology of choice for the telecommunication community. The demand is truly astronomical for this application and can provide the initial traction we will need for sustainable earnings," Mr. Sauer further stated.
