Primex Wireless Enters Agreement with Smith Seckman Reid

Dec 13, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Primex Wireless, a provider of solutions to automate and maintain healthcare facility compliance, announced that it has reached an agreement with Smith Seckman Reid (SSR), an engineering design and facility consulting firm, to assume responsibility for SSR's survey and inspection solutions.

Under the agreement, Primex Wireless said it will take over all development, support and sales for the Surveyor and Compliance Manager solutions. These products will be integrated into Primex Wireless' SNS Compliance Management solution set, enabling healthcare facilities to address all of their regulatory and compliance inspection and monitoring needs through one platform. SSR will continue to provide regulatory and compliance consulting services to healthcare companies.

SNS Surveyor is a portable software solution that allows facility managers to review codes and note deficiencies directly onto CAD drawings, enabling healthcare facilities to optimize their Statement of Conditions, Life Safety and other regulatory compliance surveys. It can also be used to create custom inspections, such as infection control risk assessments, punch lists, commissioning and facility condition assessments, based on a facility's processes and procedures. SNS Compliance Manager is accessible via most standard browsers and provides additional reporting capabilities, including the reporting of PFIs to a facility's Joint Commission Connect site.

Facility managers now can access all the information they need for surveys and inspections through the tablet-based software of SNS Surveyor, eliminating the need to carry around marked-up blueprints, memorize complex regulatory codes or manually input data into Excel files.

The Web-based SNS Compliance Manager eliminates the need to re-enter data. It also expands the ability to produce compliance reports for the TJC Statement of Conditions, building maintenance programs, environment of care inspections, and other life safety assessments including Det Norske Veritas (DNV), CMMS and other AHJ reviews. Facility staff can upload survey documentation and develop a rich set of reports that demonstrate compliance through any Web-based browser.

The Primex Wireless SNS Compliance Management platform gives facility managers capabilities for inspections, time synchronization, wireless sensor monitoring, automatic email alerting and accurate event logging. SNS is one of the first wireless platforms on the market that helps facility managers improve efficiency by using their existing Wi-Fi networks.
