HomeGrid Forum Contributes to Multimedia Home Gateways Conference

WHAT:
The home networking specifications G.hn (G.9960, G.9961)
were finalized during 2010 and the HomeGrid Forum has a clear roadmap
to support the adoption of the technology throughout the industry,
making faster, better performing wireline home networking a reality.
WHO:
Rubens Bastos, Telefonica's representative on the HomeGrid
Forum Board of Directors and Fixed Devices and Home Networking
Manager for Telefonica's Global CTO Office, will set out HomeGrid
Forum's agenda towards the certification of products in 2012. He will
also describe the home networking landscape where better, faster
communications are possible using any wired network whether it is
powerline, coax, or phone line. His presentation will highlight the
dramatic results that are achieved with G.hn and G.hn-mimo over
powerline compared to other home network technologies.
Rubens will speak on the Technology Development Panel and also on the
Smart Home Panel.
