FilesAnywhere Picks FastSoft to Accelerate Cloud Service
PASADENA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
FastSoft,
Inc. today announced that FilesAnywhere, a leading provider of
enterprise and consumer remote file storage services, has selected the
company's E-Series
web acceleration software to speed up file transfers from its cloud
storage service.
FilesAnywhere
offers businesses and consumers online file sharing and storage
services, and just launched a new mobile faxing solution for smartphones
that allows customers to fax documents stored in their FilesAnywhere
account from virtually any location to any location.
The company installed the FastSoft (News - Alert) E-Series appliance as part of its
continuing efforts to provide its users with high-speed access to their
documents and files. On average, the company reports that file transfers
from the site are 30 percent faster with the E-Series.
FastSoft's E-Series leverages the compny's
origin content acceleration (OCA) technology, which accelerates the
delivery of dynamic and non-cacheable data that is delivered from origin
servers. When these servers are located far from the end user, a
significant transport latency delay can often greatly slow content
download speed. OCA augments content delivery networks (CDNs) and
front-end optimization (FEO) technology to provide complete web
performance optimization.
"We are in a highly competitive market and having a 30% performance
advantage boosts customer satisfaction dramatically," said Tim Rice,
founder and CEO of FilesAnywhere. "Download speed is a really big deal
because we give our customers more access to their data than our
competition and working with FastSoft enhances that added value."
"The adoption of cloud services has been dramatic, but has also brought
with it an expectation from users that response times be as fast as they
are used to from local network resources," said Ed Snyder, FastSoft CEO.
"FilesAnywhere is a cloud-services pioneer with deep experience and
knowledge about user experience and satisfaction, which makes it even
more significant that they chose our E-Series to accelerate their
service."

experience without the need for software or modifications on the
