Cablevision's News 12 Networks, MSG Varsity and Newsday.com Win 141 New York Emmy Award Nominations


Feb 24, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Cablevision announced that the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has honored Cablevision Systems Corp.'s local media services -- News 12 Networks, MSG Varsity and Newsday.com -- with a total of 141 New York Emmy Award nominations.



The Company said News 12 Networks received 108 nominations, once again making it the most Emmy-nominated local news organization in the tri-state area. Starting a new tradition of excellence, MSG Varsity received 32 nominations in its first year. Newsday.com also received a nomination for the second year in a row. The award nominations were announced yesterday at the studios of CUNY-TV in New York City.
