Global Knowledge Offers New Red Hat Certification Training for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

CARY, N.C. --(Business Wire)--

Global Knowledge, Red Hat (News - Alert) Premier Training Partner of the Year in North America for 2010, today announced the availability of new Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 courses. The courses support Red Hat's new Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification and updated Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification that were announced November 10.

Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) is designed for IT professionals who are new to Linux and require core Red Hat Enterprise Linux skills. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform installation, establish network connectivity, manage physical storage, and perform basic security administration.

In Red Hat System Administration II (RH134), students will build on the foundational skills gained in System Administration I and learn to administer and troubleshoot file systems and partitioning, logical volume management, access control, and package management. Students interested in RHCSA certification may add Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Exam (EX200) or take Red Hat System Administration II with RHCSA Exam (RH135) instead of RH134.

RHCSA Rapid Track Course (RH199) is designed for experienced Linux system administrators. Students will learn to properly manage a Linux workstation and server, including installing and configuring local components and services as well as connections to existing network services. Students interested in RHCSA certification may add the RHCSA Exam (EX200) or take RHCSA Rapid Track Course with Exam (RH200) instead of RH199.

With a heavy emphasis on practical, hands-on labs, content in Red Hat System Administration III (RH254) is tightly aligned with experienced Linux administrators' job tasks and the skills required for advancement. Students will be exposed to all competencies tested on the RHCSA and RHCE exams. Exams are available separately (EX200 and EX300) or in Red Hat System Administration III with RHCSA and RHCE Exams (RH255).

The fast-paced RHCE Rapid Track Course (RH299) is designed for senior Linux system administrators who want to validate their competencies by earning the RHCSA and RHCE certifications. It combines RHCSA Rapid Track Course (RH199) and System Administration III (RH254)-eight days of training-into a single course. Students may take the exams separately (EX200 and EX300) or in RHCE Rapid Track Course with RHCSA and RHCE Exams (RH300).

The new Red Hat courses are available in classrooms and as private on-site courses that can be tailored to the needs of your organization. Some are available live over the Internet in virtual classrooms.
