The new SeaWind for Intel driver family offers support for X11R7 and OpenGL 2.1 and works with a wide variety of Intel express graphics devices. The new driver family provides embedded developers with the ability to explore new hardware form-factor possibilities while benefitting from reductions in heat dissipation, power, and weight. High-performance graphics devices created for commercial markets can sometimes be too large and power-hungry to meet the needs of many embedded applications.
