BRIEF: Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo coming to HartmanAug 18, 2010 (The Wichita Eagle - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Park City's Hartman Arena will play host to the Dodge Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo on Oct. 29-30. The circuit is made up of top cowboys and cowgirls from Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma, and is part of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association 12-region competition that determines finalists for the national circuit finals in Pocatello, Idaho. Participants will compete in saddle bronc riding, bareback bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling and bull riding. The three performances will have themes. Oct. 29 is College Night, with teams from universities competing in a calf-dressing competition. The Oct. 30 afternoon performance will be a family day with pony rides, sheep riding and a wild pig scramble. That evening's rodeo will feature the high school team version of calf dressing.
