First American Scientific Corp (FASC.OB) Announces Approval of Patent Application for Recovery of Fuel from biomass by Japanese Ministry of International Economy and Industry

Abbotsford, BC, Mar 09, 2010 (WORLD STOCK WIRE via COMTEX) -- Mr. Cal Kantonen CGA, Chairman of First American Scientific Corp. (OTCBB: FASC) is pleased to announce that on February 15, 2010, the Japanese patent office approved our patent application No 2006 - 500426 for the recovery of fuel from biomass. This is the first of two patent applications made in Japan to support our KDS technology in the green energy sector.

First American Scientific Corp's technology is licensed in Japan to JP Steel Plantech Co., a well established engineering company formed in 2001 by four Japanese steel industry giants; Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), Hitachi Zosen (Hitz), JFE Engineering (JFE) and Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI). To date, five KDS machines are in operation in Japan converting waste biomass to fertilizer and fuel.

The patented KDS "Kinetic Disintegration System" creates a clean dry powder from waste biomass in an efficient, cost effective manner without the use of supplemental fuel. The clean burning fuel can be made into pellets or briquettes, or injected directly into conventional industrial burners to create economical heat or electrical power known as "green energy". Demand for these products is expanding exponentially worldwide.

Please see our website for further details at www.fasc.net FASC also has licensed representatives in Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Brazil, USA, Canada and Europe.
