Net Optics Makes New Executive Appointments

Net Optics, Inc., a provider of network monitoring access solutions, announced the appointments of Sharon Besser and Gideon Marks to the executive leadership team.
According to a release from the Company, Sharon Besser will become the vice president of technologies. Gideon Marks will head corporate development at Net Optics. Together, these new appointments will enable Net Optics to further develop monitoring access solutions, expand partnerships with industry leaders, and continue to provide excellence in network performance and security to global enterprise and service providers.
Besser brings more than 15 years of experience in data and network security products. Most recently, Besser worked for Imperva, a data security company, where he served as vice president of products strategy, the Company noted. Prior to Imperva, Besser supervised product strategy and management for security vendors including Websense, Check Point Software Technologies, and PortAuthority Technologies. Besser also founded data security and communications solutions provider PubliCom, which was later acquired by COMSEC. As the vice president for technologies at Net Optics, Besser will utilize his data security experience to identify new market opportunities, outline go-to-market strategies, and drive the continued development of Net Optics solutions.
Marks joins the Net Optics executive leadership team with more than 25 years of experience in the high tech industry, the Company said. Marks is a past chief financial officer for both Adamind, a mobile messaging software company, and Real Time Image, a web-based imaging solution, as well as The RAD Group, a data communications and telecommunications firm. Marks' career accomplishments include taking three companies public on the NASDAQ stock exchange, and leading three others to successful merger and acquisitions. Marks will apply his background in finance and business development to lead corporate development at Net Optics.
