Integra Telecom Makes Oregon's Fastest Growing Companies List

Jun 30, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Integra Telecom, a facilities-based, integrated communications provider, has been recognized by the Portland Business Journal as one of Oregon's 2009 Fastest Growing Private 100 Companies.

Ranked 13, Integra Telecom has made the list 10 times in the last 11 years and has the highest annual revenues of any company on this year's roster. Reporting more than $684 million in 2008 revenue, Integra grew by more than 180 percent between 2006 and 2008 and is three times larger than the second largest company on the list. Additionally, of the companies ranked, Integra has the most employees, providing more than 2,300 jobs in the communities it serves.



"It's an honor to once again be named among Oregon's Fastest Growing Private 100 Companies - particularly in today's challenging economy," said Dudley Slater, CEO of Integra Telecom. "Integra's growth is attributed to the significant market demand we have witnessed in response to our local service model and our exceptional employees who care for our customers one relationship at a time. We're also fortunate to have an experienced leadership team, who demonstrated their abilities by leading the company through two major acquisitions since 2006." Craig Wessel, publisher of the Portland Business Journal, wrote on Integra's success on the Fastest Growing Private 100 Companies list in the publication's June 19 special edition: "...the company that stands out is Integra Telecom, which has made the list seven of the past eight years. That's a remarkable run for any company but particularly for one the size of Integra, dwarfing the rest of the companies on the list..." The Fastest Growing Private 100 Companies is an annual Portland Business Journal tradition. This year's fastest growing private companies were honored at an awards ceremony at the Portland Art Museum on Thursday, June 18. Hosted by Wessel, the event is one of the publication's business programs aimed at recognizing Oregon's businesses.
