Nadia seeks detailed reports on human rights violations in Sindh


Karachi, Apr 28, 2009 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- Sindh Minister for Human Rights, Ms. Nadia Gabol has directed the officials and staff of her department and offices across the province to collect and submit the details of any incident of violation of human rights to the head office of the department soon as it takes place or is brought to their notice.



In her directives, she further asked them to ensure timely and necessary measures for relief of the victims of human rights. Nadia directed the officials to compile the data of human rights violation, police cases, police actions, investigation in the cases of human rights violation, arrest of accused persons, complete information of victims including their addresses, and send such reports to her.

Stressing on creating public awareness with regard to human rights, the minister asked the officials to publicize the address and phone number of Human Rights Cell 0800-000-11 and also take action in case of any illegal and inhuman acts and decisions of certain elements.
