Unified Communication on Google Android

ESCAUX, the N1 alternative in Unfied Communication, offers Mobile Unified Communication for Google Android (News - Alert) Phone in Europe

Brussels, January 26, 2009 ESCAUX announced today that they developed a full Unified Communication application for the HTC (News - Alert) G1 Smartphone. This application will allow users to integrate this device entirely in their open platform. All features of the net.Desktop, such as presence, Instant Messaging, status, click-to-dial, e-mail, etc..will be available for the users, wherever they are. This means that fixed and mobile devices will be fully integrated also for Android and will be identified as one single number.

“Our Open UC platform already integrates with and provides handsfree configuration of mobile devices like the Nokia E-series running the Symbian (News - Alert) OS” said Jordi Nelissen, co-founder of ESCAUX. “The integration with Google Android powered devices such as the HTC G1 brings us to the next level in convenient Mobile Unified Communication. It took us very little time to develop a first beta release, thanks to the portable nature of our software and the excellent match with the Android OS. We are convinced that our final release will be ready before this very powerful Smartphone becomes generally available on the European Market”.

The T-Mobile G1 with Google delivers a premium, easy-to-use mobile Web and communications experience in one device. Working together, T-Mobile, Google (News - Alert) and HTC integrated Android and T-Mobile services into the phone’s form and function.
