Imperva Promotes Mark Kraynak and Sharon Besser to Key Management Posts


REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Imperva®, the leader in application data security, today announced the promotion of Mark Kraynak to vice president of marketing, and Sharon Besser to vice president of product strategy. Kraynak and Besser, two Imperva veterans, assume key positions on the company's executive management team.

Mark Kraynak


Prior to his promotion, Mark Kraynak served as senior director of strategic marketing where he was responsible for evangelizing Imperva's application data security solutions. Kraynak represents Imperva on industry-wide groups such as the Web Application Firewall Evaluation Criteria project of the WASC and the WAF vendors consortium within ICSA. He is a 14 year veteran of the information security industry who has led product marketing at Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., and CacheFlow (now BlueCoat Systems). He has also provided technology architecture consulting for Fortune 500 clients with Ernst & Young's Center for Technology Enablement. Kraynak holds a BSC in Electrical Engineering and English from Duke University, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Literature from American University.

Sharon Besser

Sharon Besser previously served as senior director of product strategy for Imperva. Besser has more than 13 years of experience in developing new data and network security products. He has managed product strategy for leading security vendors including Websense, Check Point Software Technologies, and PortAuthority Technologies. Besser also co-founded data security vendor PubliCom, which was acquired by COMSEC. Besser holds a BSC in Mathematics, Computer Science and Geography from Bar Ilan University in Israel.
