Sogo store displays Christmas decor featuring crystal-covered Mercedes+(Japan Economic Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) OSAKA, Oct. 28_(Kyodo) _ Sogo Co. put on display a Mercedes-Benz covered with crystals Tuesday at its flagship department store in Osaka as a Christmas decoration. The high-end, sports-car version of the luxury German car sparkles as it is decked out with 300,000 pieces of Swarovski crystal, both inside and outside, and sits beside two Christmas trees that look like a couple, intended to generate a romantic mood. "We hope families and couples begin enjoying the Christmas ambiance well ahead of the actual holiday season," a Sogo official said. The decor will be on display until Nov. 3.
