Service
(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
Mobile Complete, a provider of testing, monitoring, and support
solutions, announced DeviceAnywhere Pro, which features fully automated
mobile testing and scripting.
With DeviceAnywhere Pro, users are no longer burdened with the
redundancies of manual testing and scripting and can free up their time
and resources to improve the quality of their applications.
Offered in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, DeviceAnywhere Pro
leverages DeviceAnywhere s publicly shared infrastructure of over 1000
mobile devices across the United States and Europe.
The company said it also employs DeviceAnywhere s proven architecture
which - unlike simulators or emulators - offers developers access to
real, physical handsets on live global networks, using just the
Internet. As a result, reliability is never in question and the devices
behave just as if users held them in their hands.
DeviceAnywhere s Pro users can create test automation scripts in a
variety of fashions, including a drag-and-drop interface, a
record-and-playback mechanism where all user interactions with a phone
are recorded into a script and a Java API which enables advanced
scripting as well as integration with other test management frameworks.
DeviceAnywhere Pro also features a resource manager, which allows users
to test one script across multiple devices.
We use DeviceAnywhere extensively from our development center in India,
and we are excited about the Mobile Test Automation features in
DeviceAnywhere as it will minimize the redundancies associated with the
manual testing process, said Arish Ali, CEO of Skava, Inc. As a result,
we can expedite our test cycles and be able to meet our operator
release deadlines more effectively.
The mobile industry is facing a perfect storm of content and device
explosion and innovation, said Faraz Syed, CEO and Co-Founder of Mobile
Complete. As a result, nearly every business today is faced with the
need to have their products or services go mobile - from banks to
retailers to game developers and entertainment shops etc. This has put
tremendous stress on the developer community to ensure the timely
delivery of quality applications on mobile handsets.
We are here to cater to this explosion and with the addition of
automation; we are further extending the DeviceAnywhere value chain of
solutions, allowing users to literally bypass manual processes. As a
result, they benefit from a truly automated development process
resulting in a more effective approach to delivering superior quality
mobile products to market faster.
