NetMotion Wireless' Mobility XE Gets Certified for Windows Mobile 6

(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
NetMotion Wireless, a provider of mobile productivity and management
software, announced that its flagship product, Mobility XE, has been
certified for use on Windows Mobile 6.

The Mobility XE Mobile VPN (Virtual Private Network) boosts mobile
productivity by securely maintaining and optimizing connections to
applications as users move in and out of wireless coverage areas and
across various networks.

"The NetMotion software has achieved Mobile2Market certification, the
highest level of certification offered by Microsoft, assuring
compatibility with Windows Mobile 6 smartphones," said John Dietz,
group product manager, Microsoft Corp. "Windows Mobile is flexible so
that companies can customize smartphones with applications such as
Mobility XE to enhance employee productivity."

"The Windows Mobile platform is an important and growing component of
our business," said Tom Johnston, senior vice president of products and
marketing for NetMotion Wireless. "Our Windows Mobile 6 certification
enables our customers to choose from an even larger array of devices
and applications to support their mobile productivity needs."

"As one of the leading manufacturers of Windows Mobile devices, i-mate
continues to work with innovators like NetMotion Wireless to address
the needs of mobile enterprises," said Chris Moore, Enterprise & Mobile
Operator Manager, Northern Europe for i-mate. "The new i-mate Windows
Mobile 6 Ultimate and JAMA range is an important addition to our
product portfolio and, when coupled with NetMotion's Mobility XE,
delivers secure and continuous connections to critical applications."

NetMotion Wireless noted that it recently crossed a new customer
milestone and now has more than 200,000 licensed users for Mobility XE.
While the majority of customers use laptops in their deployments, a
significant number are using Mobility XE on PDAs and smartphones. For
the first time, the company disclosed that more than 40 percent of its
more than 1,000 corporate and government customers are using some mix
of Windows Mobile devices in their deployments. In addition, some of
the company's largest customers have more than 1,000 Windows Mobile
devices in use by their mobile workers.

"By Microsoft's own estimates, more than 20 million devices will ship
in the next 12 months with either Windows Mobile or other Microsoft
software," said Eugene Signorini, vice president of Enterprise Research
for the Yankee Group. "Overall, we believe that the number of
enterprise mobile data users will increase to more than 284 million by
2010. By supporting a wide range of laptops, PDAs, and Smartphones,
NetMotion Wireless is well positioned to serve the growing market for
businesses and government agencies with highly mobile field forces."

At this year's annual CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment event on
October 23, NetMotion Wireless was recognized by Deloitte as the 8th
fastest growing wireless company as part of the Wireless Fast 50
awards. Additionally, Deloitte's Washington State Technology Fast 50
designated NetMotion Wireless as the second fastest growing technology
firm in the state. NetMotion Wireless was also named one of the "100
Best Companies to Work For" by Washington CEO Magazine earlier this
year.
