Esnatech Introduces Location Centric Communications For Enterprise Presence Solutions

Esnatech integrates its Location Centric Communication technology to deliver rich presence to Microsoft (News - Alert)® Windows Live™ Messenger, and Skype™ desktop software to provide users with real-time status network and telephony status.

Richmond Hill, Ontario Canada - June 11, 2007 – Esna Technologies Inc. (Esnatech) today announced the addition of its Location Centric Communication technology integrating with Microsoft® Windows Live™ online services and Skype (News - Alert)™ to be featured in its new Presence Manager Utility, a component in the leading Telephony Office-LinX™ unified communication platform version 7.5. As part of its ongoing goal for interoperability and to offer the richest presence and collaboration integrations in the market, Esna Technologies’ new Presence Utility delivers its Location Centric Communication technology to third party presence applications such as Microsoft® Live Communications Server and now Windows Live™ Messenger and the Skype™ desktop VoIP application. Users can call into the Telephony Office-LinX™ Unified Communication Server and change their status, availability and location over the telephone and automatically the new Presence Utility will propagate this status and presence information to users and other IM clients at the same time.

“The way people are communication is evolving, and Esnatech remains a thought leader in the space of Presence Management. Our products have included presence sing 1996, and our Location Centric Communication engine is the latest in this evolution which further extends Esnatech’s lead in Unified Communications (News - Alert) technology.” – Mohammad Nezarati, CEO Esnatech

Location Centric Communications goes beyond rich presence; allowing users to define locations and different work environments throughout the course of the day or week. Within a location, users can set Presence elements such as online, available, phone status, and availability filters to improve their overall productivity. The concept of location based presence is the Esnatech specific presence that was delivered to Telephony Office-LinX™ UC users. With the Esnatech Presence Utility these rich presence elements can now be extended to other popular presence solutions such as Skype and Windows Live™ Messenger.

Users who are offline can change their online status, they can provide a more detailed presence, and can even share their Outlook® Calendar and Schedule with other applications. Users can be working in any of the registered presence utilities and any status or presence changes are automatically updated across those applications.

“New disruptive technologies in the communications industry like Location Centric Communications have the potential to truly change the way businesses operate. Providing rich presence information across your enterprise will drive productivity and simplify the way users communicate. This development bridges all the presence pieces together and delivers true value to the business world!” – Davide Petramala, Vice President Sales & Marketing Esnatech

The Presence Utility Manager with support for Windows Live™ Messenger and Skype™ desktop software will be part of the upcoming 7.5 release of Telephony Office-LinX™ expected in the third quarter of 2007. Esnatech will commence beta trials in July with its partners.

Telephony Office-LinX™ is already tightly integrated with RIM Blackberry® & Symbian (News - Alert) devices as well as, Microsoft® Windows, Pocket PC, Mobile PC, Exchange, Office, Outlook and Terminal Services. It can be administered directly from an organization’s Microsoft® Management Console or through Terminal Services over the web. Users can be managed through Active Directory and Group Policy.
