Orang asli -- aborigines who live in Punjat Sungai Nadik village in Kahang -- say they have been terrified by their encounters with the creature, All Asia News Network reported. The village is home to about 30 orang asli families who earn a living by gathering and selling produce from the jungle. Hashim Yusof, director of Johor National Park, interviewed local residents about Siamang as he led park officials and press members on a tour of the area.
