SUGAR and CO-GENERATION (SHERMAU) (cost of the project is Rs156.38 crore)

(India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Uttam Sugar Mills is setting up a sugar unit of 5,000 tonnes of cane crushed per day (tccpd) capacity and a co-generation unit of 30mw at village Shermau, Saharanpur. The company needs 80-85 acres of which 50 acres has already been acquired. Site development work on the project has commenced.



Commercial production is expected by Oct 2006. Cost of the project is Rs156.38 crore. The project is scheduled for completion by Oct 2006.
