Survival Skills for Sufferers of Information Overload; 8-Hour Miracle(TM) Guarantees Results

DANVILLE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- March 7, 2006 -- Four San Francisco Bay Area productivity specialists are offering relief to businesspersons who are drowning in information, piles of paper and full email boxes. Through specific techniques to reduce both paper and electronic clutter, they organize offices and help their occupants become more efficient.

The four, members of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers, are Mary Ann Pate, Danville; Anne Navach, San Carlos; Sandy Stelter, Suisun and Carol Stephen, Redwood City. They recently completed training as Productivity Trainers and Authorized Consultants(TM) at the Hemphill Productivity Institute of Raleigh, North Carolina and are certified to deliver The 8-Hour Miracle(TM).

Barbara Hemphill, author of Kiplinger's Taming the Paper Tiger at Work, developed The 8-Hour Miracle(TM). It guarantees that clients will:

-- Know what to do with every new piece of information that comes into their office

-- Be able to find any filed item in seconds

-- Have a game plan for handling any papers that weren't converted that first day.

The 8-Hour Miracle(TM) incorporates both manual and electronic tools as well as work-habit training. It addresses all aspects of work from simple decision making about what to keep, file and toss to software for organizing electronic files to necessary office equipment and supplies. "My in basket, out basket and file basket are manageable," says client Michele Lane, Attorney at Law. "The Paper Tiger software, despite my skepticism, has turned out to be a wonderful tool, enabling me to quickly find any document and file documents as they come in."

"Research shows that average workers spend 150 hours per year looking for misplaced information and use only 20% of what they keep," says Mary Ann Pate, current president of the National Association of Professional Organizers, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. "Some believe the 'paperless offices' are still probable, but studies show a 50% increase in paper from 1995 to 2005. Only 10% of those surveyed were happy with their handling of electronic information."

Professional organizers offer a wide range of services to both businesses and individuals. For detailed information, visit www.napo-sfba.org.
