(UPI Entertainment News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)The San Francisco Symphony announced Friday the orchestra will be making its trip to China after all.
The tour had been threatened by a contract dispute between symphony management and its musicians.
However, the union members agreed to perform the tour as scheduled while negotiations continued, the symphony said in a news release.
Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony will make their first concert appearance in China during a Feb. 6-14 tour, including stops in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The musicians will also spend a day leading master classes at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
