Avaya’s Scott McKechnie to Keynote 2nd Annual VoIP Developer Conference

Director of Application Enablement Services Headlines Only VoIP Development Conference in the World This Year

Norwalk, CT, [July 22, 2005] —TMC announced today that Avaya’s Director of Application Enablement Services, Scott McKechnie, will deliver a keynote address at their 2nd Annual VoIP Developer Conference (www.voipdeveloper.com) next month in San Francisco.

The conference takes place August 2-4, 2005 at the South San Francisco Conference Center. Mr. McKechnie will speak Wednesday, August 3rd at 9:30 am. His address is open to all registered attendees.

“Avaya has developed a powerful new Application Platform for 3rd party Independent Software Vendors, System Integrators and Corporate Application Developers to create the next generation of converged telephony and business solutions. Mr. McKechnie’s presentation will focus on how this platform will enable developers in attendance to quickly turn a concept into reality for today’s large enterprise and SMB customer,” said TMC President and Conference Chairman, Rich Tehrani.

Tehrani continued, “The PBX market is changing. No longer can IP PBXs be standalone devices… they need to be able to support rich developer ecosystems allowing product and service differentiation. Just like application differentiation helped PC makers in the early eighties and PC OS vendors in the early nineties, PBX manufacturers will soon be judged by the library of third party applications available on their platforms. Avaya was one of the first to understand this concept and we are proud to have them participate as a sponsor of the first and now second annual VoIP Developer Conference.”

“We’re seeing exciting, next generation applications being developed that are based on our new Application Enablement Platform,” said McKechnie. “These applications, along with web services, are just the start of the era of Intelligent Communications – where the integration of communications capabilities and business applications enable companies to rethink processes, create new business models and enhance competitive advantage.”

The VoIP Developer Conference is the only conference in the world this year 100% dedicated to educating pioneers building the next-generation of telecom applications.

In addition to Mr. McKechnie’s keynote address, the show features three days of conferences, great networking opportunities, and an Exhibit Hall featuring all of the latest VoIP development tools. Keynote speakers from Aculab, AudioCodes, Digium, Intel and Inter-Tel are also scheduled to appear at the conference.

Registration for the show is now open. Anyone interested may register by visiting http://www.voipdeveloper.com. Booth space is nearly sold out. Interested vendors should contact Dave Rodriguez: [email protected] or 203-852-6800, ext. 146.
