Aruba Selected by Microsoft for Next Generation Wireless LanSUNNYVALE, Calif., June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Aruba Networks today announced that it has been selected by Microsoft Corporation to provide next-generation networking equipment for what is considered to be one of the world's largest next-generation wireless LANs (WLAN), serving over 25,000 simultaneous users each day across more than 60 countries around the world. The new enterprise-wide Aruba mobility system will provide Microsoft a single, flexible and highly secure environment for all types of users and devices. It will enable Microsoft to centrally control and secure wireless users and devices anywhere while providing seamless voice and data communications. The next-generation wireless LAN infrastructure will help Microsoft reduce, by two orders of magnitude, the amount of equipment needed to be managed. Aruba in Microsoft Aruba's mobility products were selected by Microsoft after an extensive technical evaluation that placed Aruba, as well as competitive products, through some of the most rigorous security, scalability, performance and functionality testing performed to date. In that testing, performed by some of the world's leading independent laboratories including Iometrix in South San Francisco and the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Lab, Aruba garnered top overall scores across over 35 different tests.
