Nuvio Corporation announced today that it released an enhanced, feature-rich version of its VoIP platform. The company says the new version is easier to use and is full of newly enhanced features. Nuvio’s VoIP carrier products include NuvioVoice residential service and NuvioCentrex, a hosted business service for the small to medium business market.

The new version of the company’s VoIP platform lets customers control and manage VoIP services through a Web-based interface. Enhancements installed in the new release include a newly-designed Web interface; new features such as virtual extensions, virtual and group voice mailboxes for Centrex customers; and complete call controls that allow the flexibility to route incoming calls anywhere.

"This next-generation system is in response to the requests and suggestions of our customers and partners. Our platform is truly a major step for VoIP and communication technology," said Jason Talley, president and CEO of Nuvio Corporation. "We believe that there is nothing in the marketplace right now that can compete. Our solution, powered by our internally developed switching cluster, provides for the reliability and scalability needed in this industry."

The company has already started to get good reviews for its new platform version. "Nuvio’s next-generation platform delivers a range of features and functionality found in traditional PBX systems, at a fraction of the cost. With a consistent, well-designed, simple user interface, users of any skill level can manage their business communication infrastructure. Our clients will see immediate benefits," explained Victor Cornejo, president and CTO of Las Vegas, NV-based OPSTECH. "Nuvio’s VoIP services and turnkey partner program offer OPSTECH one solution to market, train, deliver and support, which translates to better customer service, fewer issues, and more time to spend acquiring new clients."

Nuvio made news towards the end of last month when the company announced Emerging Technical (E.T.) Communications signed on with the company’s Private Label VoIP Program. The agreement will enable E.T. to offer VoIP-based communications services to its customers. Specifically, E.T. chose to enroll in the Nuvio Private Label Partner (PLP) Program in order to offer VoIP service to residential and business customers through the NuvioVoice and NuvioCentrex products. Nuvio explained that providers who sign up with the PLP program are able to offer VoIP services immediately without having to deploy their own VoIP network and softswitch.

The company also recently launched E911 services for the NuvioCentrex product, Nuvio’s hosted IP Voice system. The system is available to broadband providers, cable operators, CLECs and VARs through Nuvios private-label partner program. The company claimed to currently offer E911 in over 1,500 rate centers servicing over 2,700 cities nationwide and has plans to deploy this feature in additional markets this year.
