Wipro Contracts for AT&T Hosting and Voice Services
BANGALORE, India, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T today announced it has won a contract renewal for hosting and voice services from Wipro Technologies, the global information technology (IT) services division of Wipro Ltd. . Terms were not disclosed.
Wipro is a leading provider of IT solutions and services for global corporations. The company uses AT&T's network to address customer requirements in the areas of software application development and maintenance, information technology consulting, product design, system integration and remote infrastructure management.
As part of the hosting contract, Wipro's data servers will be located in AT&T Internet Data Centers (IDCs) in California and New Jersey and provide high-speed connectivity to and from Wipro's 35 offices in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. AT&T owns and operates 25 IDCs on four continents around the world.
The contract expands an agreement under which AT&T has provided voice and data services to Wipro for the past five years. Wipro also purchases global voice services, including outbound and inbound calling and global calling cards from AT&T.
