Forbes.com To Offer Enhanced Financial News From The Associated Press

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- May 25, 2004 -- The Associated Press, the world's largest newsgathering organization, and Forbes.com, home page for the world's business leaders, announced today that they have signed a licensing agreement.

As a result of the agreement, Forbes.com unique monthly visitors - approximately 7.4 million a month - will have access to AP Financial News, a new business news service which covers top companies and financial markets around the world.

"Senior executives rely on Forbes.com for its uncompromising commentary, relevant tools and concise investment analysis," said Forbes.com Editor Paul Maidment. "AP Financial News offers timely and accurate reports on the latest financial developments - a valuable addition to the comprehensive coverage we provide to our readers."

Beginning in early June, Forbes.com plans to offer the expanded news across the site, including its home page, and its business, technology, markets and work channels.

AP Financial News goes beyond the top stories of the day to include quarterly earnings announcements, executive changes, regulatory actions, acquisitions and new product developments for major companies in a full range of industries.

"AP Financial News serves readers that are becoming more sophisticated in their understanding of business and investments," said AP Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll. "This is an important expansion of AP's business coverage and well-suited to online readers who want to know about company and financial market developments right away."
