Five Wireless Companies Among 25 Selected In Rocket Builders’ List Of Hottest IT Companies In BC

Rocket Builders second annual “Ready to Rocket 25” list names five wireless companies among 25 private BC companies that are best positioned to capitalize on the IT trends that will contribute to faster growth than the IT sector as a whole.

Outlined in their “IT Outlook for 2004” report that complemented the list, Rocket Builders highlights wireless handheld devices, on-demand computing and social networking as key emerging technologies. The five wireless
companies: Colligo Networks, Flowfinity Wireless, fSona, Telos Technology and Xybec all provide solutions within this area.

Caroline Lewko, senior business analyst with CIMI and vice president of WINBC comments: “It’s encouraging to see our wireless companies feature so prominently on Rocket Builders’ list. We find that wireless clusters in other parts of Canada are focusing on building the infrastructure. Our companies are more focused on providing wireless business solutions and making wireless useable for carriers, companies and consumers. As you can see, this approach is proving an excellent business model.”
