Zen Internet is Which? Recommended Broadband Provider for the thirteenth time in a row

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Zen Internet, one of the UK's leading independent Internet Service Providers (ISP), has maintained its Which? Recommended Provider status for the thirteenth time in a row.

Zen's Recommended Broadband Provider status revealed five stars for reliability, customer service and technical support. Zen has been rated highly by its customers in the Which? Survey for the last eight years, making this its thirteenth Which? endorsement. ' 'With the top overall Which? customer score of 86%, Zen truly deserves its Recommended Broadband Provider status. Zen has been among our top broadband performers since 2005, and this time round received top marks (five stars) for connection reliability and customer service. Its only average rating is value for money, for which it got three stars, said Which? The survey was based on results of an online survey of nearly 12,000 Which? online panels members about their broadband experiences to find the best providers. The customer satisfaction score (as a percentage) is based on overall satisfaction and their likelihood to recommend the ISP to a friend.

'Our mission is to provide the best ISP service in the UK', so we are delighted to be recognised as Recommended Broadband Provider by Which? once again. This recognition acknowledges the commitment of the entire team at Zen, especially our Technical Support and Customer Services teams, but I would also like to thank those customers and Which? members, that have taken the time to rate their experience with Zen,' said Andrew Saunders, Head of Product Management and Marketing.

'Our customer score is even better than last year with 86% and 10% better than the next recommended provider. There will always be cheaper services, but we genuinely aim to be the best and believe that our services provide real value to our customers. It has been an incredibly busy 12 months for broadband at Zen, which included the launch of our fibre optic broadband and telephone lines service,' added Andrew.

Zen is now offering "up to 100Mbps" fibre optic broadband services. This exciting development in Internet access technology is delivering even faster download speeds of "up to 100Mbps" by connecting fibre optic broadband directly into home or office premises.

Zen's fibre optic broadband is already available to 25% of UK premises and by late 2012 superfast"up to 40Mbps" download speeds will be within reach of 40% of premises. Although speeds still depend on line length, average speeds are in the region of 30Mbps, representing a huge leap over typical copper broadband speeds.

Zen is the first ISP to be running an "up to 100Mbps" commercial trial in the seven exchange areas of Bradwell Abbey (Milton Keynes), Highams Park, York and Chester South, Ashford, Forest Hill, Ilford Central and Leytonstone. It is already seeing download speeds that frequently exceed 90Mbps, more than 10 times the UKs average broadband speed.

Further exchanges are in the early stages of having "up to 100Mbps" fibre optic broadband services deployed. These include Exeter, Wembley, St Austell and Thornton Heath To complement its existing fibre optic broadband product portfolio, Zen also launched its new lower priced entry-level fibre optic broadband package, Fibre Lite. This product has been developed for customers that want to benefit from faster speeds but do not have massive download requirements.

Zen's fibre optic broadband packages are available to order either online at HYPERLINK "http://www.zen.co.uk" www.zen.co.uk or by calling 0845 057 8323.

Zen's new telephone line services, Home Talk and Business Talk provide the same high level of service and support as Zens award winning broadband for both home and business customers. Home Talk and Business Talk will provide a one-stop-shop for both broadband and telephone services. Customers now have the benefit of being able to use Zen for talking as well as surfing, by only having to deal with one supplier saving both time and money.
