Yoggie launches Open Firewall Pico and Open Firewall SOHO

Yoggie Security Systems, a developer of hardware-based personal
security computer solutions, announced on 11 November that it has
launched its new Open Firewall Pico and Open Firewall SOHO, which are
open hardware firewalls based on Yoggie's Gatekeeper technology.
According to the company, the Open Firewall products are Linux-based
miniature computers with 520 MHz ARM CPU, 128 RAM and 128 Flash memory,
Yoggie said it will release the source code to its powerful firewall
products in a full developer SDK along with source code to almost all
of its platform's applications. The Open Firewall SOHO has two Ethernet
ports and with no driver needed, it can protect any type of OS and
computer.
Yoggie said that developers will be able to re-configure existing
hardware or modify software with CLI (Command line interface) using
standard SSH protocol, resulting in applications such as PuTTY or
WinSCP being supported.
Open Firewall Pico will normally be priced at USD69, however a special
introductory offer of USD49 will be available for three months. Open
Firewall SOHO's normal cost will be USD99 but also has a three month
introductory offer of USD79. Purchasers will receive a comprehensive
product suite comprising of a hardware firewall, developer SDK and full
SSH access along with membership of Yoggie's online developer community
site, http://www.yoggie.com/developers, which has been created to
provide a forum for developers, individual software enthusiast, members
of the hardware engineering community and students.
