Yardi Announces Voyager SaaS and Private Cloud Solutions

Yardi announced today the release of Voyager S, a Software as a Service (SaaS) successor to its popular Yardi Voyager™ software. Voyager S has all the features of Yardi Voyager version 6.0 in a SaaS (News - Alert) model and is initially available for residential and commercial clients in North America.

SaaS solutions have gained wide acceptance in many industries including real estate. SaaS solutions enable suppliers to provide more seamless integration of new releases and updates. The first release of Voyager S will provide improvements in reporting and supports Microsoft (News - Alert) reporting services. The second release of Voyager S will provide iPad, tablet and Mac support.

Yardi offers two versions of Voyager S:

• Voyager SaaS
• Voyager SaaS Select

With Voyager SaaS, Yardi will manage service packs, plug-ins and new versions. Each SaaS client benefits from its own secure database that is configured based on best practices. Each client still retains the ability to tailor and customize Voyager features to meet its individual needs. Unlimited application support is also available with the Voyager SaaS option.

Voyager SaaS Select offers each client the ability to control its own versions and upgrades. This option typically holds the greatest appeal for companies that have specific SOX and SSAE upgrade policies. While Voyager SaaS s provided solely in the Yardi Cloud, Voyager SaaS Select is available in the Yardi Cloud or in a Private Cloud, a new offering that will be made available as an option to those clients choosing SaaS Select.

Yardi's newly announced Private Cloud allows customers to replicate self-hosting in Yardi's Cloud environment. This is done by provisioning servers, storage and networking hardware in a vLAN that is client specific. Yardi's Private Cloud option will also allow clients to load non-Yardi applications into their Private Cloud. It provides state of the art hardware and networking solutions with 24/7 service, and it is competitively priced and delivers more processing capacity and storage.

Even with the introduction of Voyager SaaS and Voyager SaaS Select, Yardi will continue to support its current Yardi Voyager clients, including self-hosted clients, indefinitely. Yardi will also provide an easy, affordable upgrade and migration path from Voyager 6.0 to Voyager S.
