Delta Air Lines and Alaska Air Group expand marketing agreement

Nov 18, 2008 -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) and Alaska Air Group
(NYSE:ALK) have announced that they have entered an agreement in
principle to amend the airlines' marketing agreement to make them
preferred alliance partners on the US West Coast.

The amended agreement will include: the launch of new Delta long-haul
transpacific and Latin American routes from the West Coast of the US;
the expansion of connecting opportunities to and from Alaska Airlines
and Horizon Air hubs and focus cities; and enhanced worldwide frequent
flyer and lounge reciprocity agreements between Delta and Alaska.

According to the airlines these customer benefits resulting from the
amended agreement will be launched by the end of 2009.
