Worlds apart, but duo will make a splash

Feb 05, 2012 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- New investors, Gina Rinehart and Graeme Wood, will enliven the Australian media sector but have little in common. Rinehart, who acquired her wealth through mining, has invested in Ten Network and Fairfax Media. Wood, whose fortune came from his accommodation and travel web sites, has invested in the digital sector. Online news site, The Global Mail, will go live on 6 February 2012. Wood has declared that he does not want to influence editorial content, but there is evidence that this is Rinehart's purpose in investing.
