WorldGate Offers Service Providers New Ease Of Deployment For Ojo On Their Networks

TREVOSE, Pa. --(Business Wire)-- WorldGate Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: WGAT) a leading provider of personal video phones and associated technology today announced that is has developed and is in the process of providing its new Service Provider Package for service providers that will allow its Ojo video phones to be more quickly and easily adapted to their networks around the world using a wide variety of technology platforms. The new software has already been evaluated by several prospective customers who have cooperated in developing this capability and are planning to use it for upcoming launches.



One potential customer, BroadVoice, has been working with WorldGate to ensure that the new Package satisfies a broad range of needs, including the provisioning feature to deliver the best possible consumer experience. The Service Provider Package includes the ability for Ojos purchased by service provider customers to immediately register with the customer's system. This will provide an ability to maintain standard inventory and reduce the need for and cost of unique inventory. The software will also provide for the ability of service provider customers to have Ojo provide more features to offer their customers.

WorldGate is now able to accelerate its ability to conclude negotiations with customers and schedule launches of Ojo. Additional work will continue to further develop more capabilities and features to make its customers' offerings more attractive.
