World-renowned film school goes back to the future with new system fromm-hance

Apr 10, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Met Film School, operating out of the oldest working film studio in the world, is rolling out an integrated finance, ERP and CRM system from m-hance, revolutionising its student management and resource allocation processes. m-hance's system, which includes resource planning and student records functionality, will enable Met Film to improve operational and financial reporting, cut costs and reduce manually-intensive administration by around one week each month.

Met Film required a single integrated system with the scalability and flexibility to support its growth plans. The institution, which is currently growing at a rate of 20% per year, provides a range of full and part-time courses to over 800 students each academic year.

Stuart Thomson, Chief Financial Officer, at Met Film School, explains, "As the organisation grew, administering eleven separate systems became increasingly time-consuming which led to operational inefficiencies from the logistical challenge of being in a state of constant pre-production of around 1500 films per annum. We therefore sought to consolidate our existing data onto a single, centralised system for recording and managing all student, course and resource data to improve information visibility and enable us to better plan for the future." Thomson continues, "After evaluating several software providers, we decided that m-hance's solution was the closest fit to our requirements and offered the advanced functionality and customisation we needed to support us as we continue to grow. We were also extremely impressed by the professionalism and the knowledge of the m-hance team who fully understood our needs throughout the evaluation process." By implementing m-hance's solution, Met Film will significantly improve the visibility and accessibility of information across the organisation, resulting in more informed decision making and greater operational efficiency which will flow through to customer satisfaction. Authorised users will be able to track, update and analyse up-to-date information relating to course bookings, course scheduling, student records and attendance levels throughout the student lifecycle via a single online hub.

Thomson comments, "Having access to accurate and up-to-date information in a single system will give us complete visibility in everything we do and assist us in maintaining greater control over our operations. By replacing a multitude of inefficient and often inaccurate systems we'll be able to reduce intensive administration processes which will transform productivity levels. The system's advanced reporting capabilities will also facilitate more strategic planning so we can quickly identify popular courses and make provisions to our schedules well into the future." Thomson adds, "In addition, m-hance's solution will help us to strengthen the relationships we have with our students by recording all engagement, answering queries in a timelier manner and more easily measuring the success of our student and alumni engagement activities to shape our future strategy."
