WIC offers monthly meetings with highly regarded speakers throughout the Bay Area. The 2014 WIC Board of Directors consists of the following professionals, who bring years of experience to the organization.

President - Kathie Sherman returns as WIC's president for the second year. Previously she had served as WIC's vice president and director of membership. As president of TenFour Marketing, Kathie helps companies double responses in their direct marketing programs. Focused on increasing both response and conversion rates, tracking and measuring results, optimizing campaigns, and getting strong ROI for her customers, she works with companies of many sizes who want to make every marketing dollar count.


Executive Vice President of Operations - Jennifer Berkley Jackson returns for her third term as the executive vice president of operations. Jennifer has also served as WIC's treasurer and vice president of membership. The founder and owner of The Insight Advantage, Jennifer helps businesses integrate customer insight to make key business decisions in the face of emerging customer needs. She also teaches the Power of Marketing Research at the University of California at Santa Cruz Extension in Silicon Valley and is co-chair of the SF chapter of Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA).

Vice President of Programs - Kathy Klotz-Guest is WIC's new vice president of programs. An improviser, storyteller, and marketer, Kathy is the founder of the marketing and communications firm, Keeping it Human. Kathy helps executives and teams tell their best stories in human-speak: a language that customers trust. She also runs the Jargonorrhea Live marketing podcast. Her clients have included Yahoo!, Autodesk, Cisco and United Way. Trained at ComedySportz and at BATS, Kathy still performs weekly with her stage "partners in crime." Kathy is a founding member of the Improvisational Comedy Upstarts (ICU).

Vice President of Finance / Treasurer - Joanna Nowak returns for the third year as vice president of finance. A principal at a boutique wealth management firm, MoneyWise Financial Advisors, Joanna specializes in working at the intersection of a science-based approach to investing and heart-centered approach to life planning, and managing wealth. Her work with women honors their core values and aspirations, and allows them to live their lives from a position of financial strength, abundance, and freedom.

Vice President of Membership andStrategic Audiences Director - Deborah Siegle continues as vice president of membership and director of the WIC Leaders' Network, a role she has held for six years. The principal of Strategic Marketing Solutions, Deb helps clients with strategic research, market and product development, technology industry analysis, and customer loyalty and experience projects. With more than 25 years of experience in her field, she quickly identifies core issues, developing actionable strategies and tactics that make a measurable difference to her clients. For the last five years, Deb has been a judge for the Edison Awards, honoring innovation and innovators.

Vice President of Marketing Communications / Corporate Secretary - Beverley Bird returns for the second year as vice president of marketing communications. As founder of Blaze Communication, Beverley develops integrated marketing programs that "turn the dial" to achieve business results fast and put her B2B clients on the map. She specializes in the full range of technology marketing communications, social media, public relations and analyst relations.

Programs Director - Lisa LaMagna is the new programs director. Her firm, Lisa LaMagna + Associates, provides expert counsel and strategic programs for businesses and financial audiences. For companies that want to build, expand or protect their reputations, the firm delivers results with high-value customers, business and financial media, and professional investors. Bay to Bay Technical Solutions provides a wide range of IT services to consultants and small business owners. Through its telephone, remote-connection and in-person technical support, the company helps its clients manage their networks, computers, and mobile devices.

Satellites Director  - Wendy Wood is the new director of WIC's satellite groups. The president and creative director of Wendy Wood Design, Wendy helps marketing professionals visualize their business messages. With more than 18 years' experience with visual branding and corporate design, Wendy combines business sense, fresh perspective and expertise to bring creative ideas and valuable insight to any project. Her work includes establishing a visual branding look and feel, logo design and guidelines, tradeshow graphics and marketing collateral design.

Social Media Director - Amy Smith serves as WIC's new Social Media Director. As principal of Amy Smith Consulting, Amy specializes in marketing and public relations for technology companies, startups, and entrepreneurs. She is also a co-founder of Project Gado, a startup using a revolutionary scanning technology to digitize photos for small archives and individuals.

Administrative Secretary - Melissa Stacey returns to the WIC board as administrative secretary, having served as WIC's treasurer from 2008 to 2012. As the owner of Feeling Organized, Melissa specializes in organization for homes, offices and small businesses. She works with each client to create unique organizing systems that are geared toward their specific needs, lifestyles and/or work style. Melissa's expertise includes filing systems, operation manuals, paper management, closet spaces, offices and workflow. Melissa is the co-author of Get Organized Today.
