Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' Tim Burniston to Speak at CBA LIVE EventWolters Kluwer Financial Services announced today that Tim Burniston, executive vice president, Risk & Consulting Practice, will provide guidance on how to conduct risk assessments that incorporate fair and responsible banking practices. His presentation is part of the CBA LIVE 2015 Fair and Responsible Banking Forum, March 23-25, at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Fla. In this session, Burniston will discuss expectations around fair and responsible banking risk assessments. He will focus on the drivers behind them, industry best practices for conducting them, and strategies for managing risks based on the results. This interactive session will provide guidance on engaging business units in a dialogue around the unique requirements of these risk assessments. It will also highlight potential consequences of failing to thoroughly examine the risk of harm to consumers that certain products or product features might pose. "The Fair Banking Forum provides a valuable platform to help lending professionals advance their understanding of and processes around building a more fair and responsible lending culture," said Burniston. "Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' presence at this conference underscores how critical we believe these practices have become in promoting the growth and success of lending institutions." Having joined Wolters Kluwer Financial Services in 2011, Tim Burniston is an executive vice president responsible for its Professional Services & Consulting Practice. He works directly with compliance and risk management executives to help them more effectively navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment, drawing upon his senior executive experience in designing and leading compliance examination programs at the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of Thrift Supervision. In its sixth year, CBA LIVE brings together more than 1,200 attendees annually, including more than 500 bankers in retail, product development, and compliance and risk roles, to learn new trends and share insights with influential decision makers in the industry.
