Wizzard Software Releases New AT&T Natural Voices Text to Speech for Linux

Jan 04, 2008 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Wizzard Software has announced the availability of Version 4.2 of AT&T Natural Voices Text-to-Speech (TTS) for Linux.

Wizzard said the software includes a new streamlined architecture that makes it easier and quicker for application and web developers to deploy high performance speech solutions. In addition to twenty voices in eight languages, the new version adds Italian. Wizzard noted that it will be releasing a 4.2 version for Windows early in 2009.

AT&T Natural Voices is a natural-sounding synthesized speech system. Wizzard will offer Version 4.2 in a variety of licensing models to Developers, Integrators and Business Clients.

"We are very excited about AT&T Natural Voices Version 4.2," said Bruce Phifer, General Manager of Wizzard's Technology and Services division. "Our clients demand the highest quality natural-sounding synthesized speech technology at competitive terms and prices, and we are confident that Version 4.2 meets that demand. Our close working relationship with AT&T has produced a very compelling combination of world class speech technology and low cost distribution and we are very enthusiastic about the possibilities this presents to our clients and the long term growth of the industries they support."

Wizzard's T & S Division is a preferred supplier of speech technologies to clients who create, distribute and deploy speech enabled applications.
