Wizeline Announces Free Product Management Software Offering Innovative Ways for Organizations to Approach Product Strategy

Wizeline, the leader in data-driven product intelligence solutions that help companies build winning products their customers love, today announced the availability of Wizeline Starter, a free version of its leading software platform that has been in beta with more than 100 product management teams. The free plan eliminates the need for multiple tools and allows product managers to intelligently prioritize development work, create visual roadmaps, and seamlessly communicate key product updates in a fraction of the time it takes today.

"Our goal is to help product managers build better products, in less time and with fewer headaches," said Matt Pasienski, Wizeline's Director of Product. "Excel and other spreadsheet tools - which almost all product organizations use - are general solutions that we believe don't adequately support the agility, collaboration and intelligence required to drive successful product strategy. Our new offering is the only free toolkit of its kind designed for delivering product excellence."

Unlike spreadsheet products, Wizeline Starter allows product managers to collect meaningful input to better inform product direction, streamline processes, and save time. Wizeline Starter is a free offering of tools specifically designed for product managers. Highlights includ:

  • The ability for an unlimited number of users to collaborate on a single product
  • Feature request management and prioritization
  • Product roadmap creation and sharing
  • Release planning, budgeting, and backlog grooming
  • Development progress tracking via integration with JIRA

Any user with a valid corporate email address can create an account and start using the software free of charge. To access Wizeline's advanced features or collaborate on multiple products, users must upgrade to a paid plan.

WePow, a SaaS (News - Alert) platform focusing on video recruitment for talent acquisition, has been using Wizeline Starter for release planning and prioritization. "Wizeline's tools have allowed us to create order from chaos, and we've cut our quarterly roadmap planning process from 2-3 weeks to just under 3 hours," said Jaime Romero, CTO of WePow. "We're really excited to see how we can use Wizeline even more as they continue to release more features."

The free version of Wizeline was designed with input from product professionals and customers. Wizeline's product team interviewed nearly 100 product managers, program managers, CTOs, engineers and others typically involved in the development process. As part of that research, Wizeline's team found that the vast majority of product teams rely on spreadsheets. As a result, more than 80% of product managers reported input or data management as a main pain point, with process inefficiencies a close second.

These findings align with research pointing to a growing need for effective, purpose-built tools for product management. According to a recent study by Sirius Decisions, only 13% of product managers are "very satisfied with the application they use for maintaining their product roadmaps (most commonly presentation applications like PowerPoint or spreadsheet applications like Excel)." The report also found that B2B product managers who regularly use product management-specific tools reported that they are able to be more effective at their jobs.

Wizeline Starter is immediately available from the Wizeline website.
