Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati Expands National Security Regulatory Practice

Gruenspecht advises clients in the telecommunications, technology, media, and defense sectors in transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters. He routinely represents domestic busi­nesses and foreign entities before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), Defense Security Service (DSS), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), federal defense and intelligence agencies, state utilities commissions, and other government bodies on national security, cybersecurity, and communications matters. He has negotiated security agreements, information sharing agreements, and network and physical security plans and policies with CFIUS, DSS, the FCC, and various other federal agencies.

Gruenspecht joins Wilsn Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati from the Washington, D.C., office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Previously he was a Cybersecurity Fellow with the Center for Democracy and Technology. Prior to law school, he worked as an engineer engaged in network security research and development for the federal government and BBN Technologies, focusing on device exploitation and computer network exploitation.

Gruenspecht has been listed in The Legal 500 U.S. in the areas of Telecom and Broadcast: Regulatory and Transactional. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2010, and he received a B.S. from Yale University in 2002. Gruenspecht is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
