"We Need to Talk" Comedy Web Series about Romantic Breakups - Trailer ReleasedLOS ANGELES, May 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Actor-Writer Sofia Gonzalez and Lift Off Pictures today announced the upcoming release of a 6 part web-series comedy. "We Need toTalk" is about six romantic breakups, based on true stories, written and performed by Sofia Gonzalez (see WNTT trailer here). All episodes were filmed, directed, and edited by Jaime Gonzalez of Lift Off Pictures. Comedian Sofia Gonzalez was inspired to create the series after she attended a dinner party where the topic of conversation turned to bad breakups. "We pretty much realized that I had the most outrageous and funny stories at the table. My actor friends encouraged me to produce the six web episodes," Ms. Gonzalez said. Teaming up with her brother, director Jaime Gonzalez, they produced "We Need To Talk" (#WNTT). "We were extremely fortunate to cast some of LA's most accomplished comedians. All six episodes will be launched at once, in late June. The online release will occur simultaneously with a L.A. premiere red carpet event," Mr. Gonzalez added. Episodes, for example, feature the boyfriend who took Sofia to Starbucks to tell her he got someone else pregnant; the charming actor who insisted she still recommend him to her talent agent even though they were parting ways; and the woman with whom she accidently went on a lesbian date with to see The Vagina Monologues. Sofia has had some bad luck in terms of romance, but great luck in terms of hilarious break ups. Her hope is that these stories will help similarly affected viewers heal through laughter. About Sofia Gonzalez Sofia is a writer, performer, stand-up comedian, and producer; she has been featured in television and internet comedies such as NBC's Community, Buzzfeed, YouTube Studios, and Above Average Network. Sofia can be seen performing live sketch comedy and improv at The Groundlings, UCB, and Second City. She also performs stand up at The Comedy Store and Flappers. She has appeared in many national commercials including Honda, McDonalds, Southwest Airlines, Expedia and Canada Dry. She was selected to be a 2014 CBS Diversity Showcase writer performer and named Inspirational Latina in March 2014 by Latina Magazine. Sofia is an honors graduate in Politics with a Bachelor Degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. About Jaime Gonzalez Jaime is a director, editor and cinematographer. His production company, Lift Off Pictures, specializes in commercials, start-up company promos, and music videos. He has worked at CBS as an Assistant Editor for the most watched entertainment news magazine in the world, Entertainment Tonight. Currently he is an Editor at New Wave Entertainment.
