Warning on speed increase charges

Jan 01, 2013 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The corporate plan of NBN Co for the roll-out of the new national broadband network is based on a tiered system of charges that increase along with download speeds. However, this approach has been attacked as likely to lead to under-utilisation of the infrastructure by John de Ridder, the former chief economist at telco Telstra. He has made a submission to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission on the issue.
