WALES: Concert to aid tsunami relief

(Daily Post (Liverpool) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)A MAJOR concert takes place tonight to fund the work of a North Wales charity campaigner in tsunami-devastated Sri Lanka.

Buckley builder Esmor Davies, who has already built a new school in Sri Lanka, is now building a second in the north east of the country.

The tsunami relief concert for Esmor Davies's Sri Lankan project will take place at the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre starting at 7.30pm.

It features Rhys Meirion (tenor), Katherine Allen (soprano), Annette Bryn Parri (piano), Trelawnydd Male Voice Choir and Stephan Hughes.

The finalists of the Musical Theatre Young Singers competition, Elsber School of Dance, Four Square Barber Shop, Dilwyn Pearce, Glyn Owen, comedian John Sellers and compere Vaughan Hughes are also taking part.

The ticket box office number is 0870 33 00 000, and some tickets are still available, cost pounds 12.50 (concessions pounds 10).
