VSE Subsidiary Akimeka Wins 10-Year Contract

VSE Corp. reported that subsidiary, Akimeka, has been awarded a 10-year U.S. Air Force Services Agency (AFSVA) contract.
According to a Feb. 9 release, the $10 million award is to implement and support an enterprise Point-of-Sale Golf Management Solution for 70 golf courses located on Air Force bases world-wide.
Akimeka teamed with Club Prophet Systems and Terremark Worldwide, Inc. to provide the golf management software and Federal Cloud hosting to the Air Force.
Akimeka President John Harris said, "We are excited to begin our new partnership with Air Force Services to provide a state-of-the-art Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) golf management solution, hosted entirely in the Cloud. This is new territory for Air Force Services, and we are thrilled they have the confidence in our team to support their mission."
