Volt's McCaffrey to Address Software Architects Conference

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- Volt Workforce Solutions, a staffing business unit of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. will present at this year's International Association of Software Architects & Architect Connections Conference in San Francisco, October 6-8. The IASA & AC Conference is a leading event covering the trends in software architecture for SOA, SaaS, cloud computing, social networking, domain specific languages, and federated security. Dr. James McCaffrey, senior director of Volt Technical Resources, a division of VWS, will discuss "Architecting Custom Test Automation with Visual Studio Team System."

"Original software engineering techniques developed by Volt integrate custom software test automation into Microsoft's Visual Studio Team System development environment," says McCaffrey. "These techniques provide software development team members with efficient ways to automate testing of software applications and systems, within Microsoft's suite of client product editions. The result can be better quality software, developed at lower cost, and in shorter time."

Topics covered in Dr. McCaffrey's presentation include: 1.) Understanding software test automation architecture; 2.) Creating a Generic test type and manage custom test automation; and 3.) How and when to use Visual Studio Team System to manage custom test automation.

Volt Technical Resources develops and delivers software training classes, creates software-related technical content, and develops intellectual property for publication for the Global 1000.
