Voice Dialing Patent to be Auctioned by Ocean Tomo

WESTPORT, Conn. --(Business Wire)-- DA Corporation, has announced they will offer its highly regarded, patented Voice Dial over Tones (vDot(TM)) technology for sale at The OceanTomo Fall 2008 Live IP Auction on October 30th in Chicago. The Patents broad use targets a wide array of potential companies including providers of telecommunications infrastructure, set-top boxes, VoIP Internet Appliances, consumer telephones and the next generation of multimedia appliances for the home.

The US Patent 5,483,579 incorporates algorithms for waveform processing required to hear voice on analog telephone lines and VoIP ATAs during the dial-tone period. Deployment of this technology enables providers and manufacturers a means to leverage voice-activated dialing on existing infrastructure in home environments. Typically, a single connection to a '579 enabled device would link all the phones in a home to a database to instantly create voice activated dialing at each and every telephone in the household. The advancement provides the ability to utilize existing wiring and telephones, both wired and cordless, for a 'one connection, no-manual', consumer friendly installation.

The '579 Patent was successfully benchmarked in voice- and modem-based products winning Best of Show at AVIOS and further cited in reviews in the New York Times Technology 'State of the Art' section as an innovation that outshined a competitive system.

"Our '579 technology has the unique ability to bring voice dialing into the home environment, working seamlessly with new generations of smart appliances, broadband VoIP lines and telecom processors" touted Nancy Wolfe of DAC's TextSpeak Group. "Emerging technologies can capitalize on the patent as a software enhanced solution, linking online dialing directories or personal computer and PDA databases to add value to their product portfolio."
