VMUG Announces Tech Superstar Line-up for Toronto UserCon
VMware User Group (VMUG) is excited to announce the line-up for the
Toronto UserCon later this month. The VMUG tech line-up includes key
note speakers Frank Denneman, Senior Staff Architect with VMware and
Eric Wright, Tech Evangelist.
Denneman's session, "A Closer Look at VMware Cloud on AWS", brings
VMware's enterprise class Software-Defined Data Center software to
Amazon's public cloud. Couple the best enterprise software with the best
data center operator in the world and you get an On-demand elastically
scalable private cloud deployable anywhere in the world. This session
will introduce this exciting new service and examine some of the use
cases and benefits of the service.
Closing keynote, Eric Wright's session "Terraform for VMware
Administrators" discusses how the next-generation environments are all
about composable, Infrastructure-as-Code, orchestration, and automation.
Using Terraform, an open source platform from HashiCorp, we can easily
build, modfy, and provide version and state management for our VMware
infrastructure. You'll see how to get Terraform up and running and how
to do some real use-case deployments to understand how to add value for
your organization and yourself as an infrastructure admin and architect.
