VITEC Debuts the Most Comprehensive Solutions Suite for Mobile and Over-the-Top Transcoding and Streaming

VITEC, a worldwide leader in advanced digital video solutions, announced the most comprehensive suite of products for IP transcoding, encoding and streaming of multi-screen content. The new product offering includes MGTS Prism, FMVMS and Enterprise Mobile Streaming blades - all designed for the award winning Optibase (News - Alert) MGW Blades Platforms that offer high availability architecture with low operating expenses.

The VITEC Optibase MGTS Prism is the newest SD/HD IP Transcoding blade with best-in-class processing density of up to ten transcoding services per blade. The MGTS Prism delivers superb video quality at any bit rate using Adaptive Bit-Rate (ABR) technology in all major protocols; Apple (News - Alert) HTTP Live Streaming, Microsoft Silverlight Smooth Streaming, Adobe Flash Dynamic Streaming, 3GPP, RTSP and more.

The Full Motion Video Mobile Streaming (FMVMS) blade is a mobile delivery solution for government and military customers. Optimized for closed networks and highly secure applications, FMVMS enables government agencies and military units to disseminate actionable videothat enhances situational awareness at the field and while on the move.
