V.i. Labs Announces Creation of Advisory Board


The leading software intelligence solutions provider, V.i. Laboratories, Inc. ("V.i. Labs"), today announced the formation of an Advisory Board composed of professionals with deep expertise in software licensing, asset management, license compliance and software piracy. Board members will assist the management team with assessing new market and product development opportunities.

The Advisory Board members are:

  • Matt Christiano, CEO, Reprise Software, Inc. Matt also founded Globetrotter Software in 1982 where he created FLEXlm, the most widely-deployed license manager, and served as the company's CEO until its sale to Macrovision in 2000. Matt holds two U.S. patents in the field of license management, and serves on the board of directors of the Bridge Investment Group and Muse Research and Development.
  • Abhi Joshi, Managing Director and US Leader fo Software Asset Management (SAM), PricewaterhouseCoopers (News - Alert). Over the last decade, Abhi has helped software companies build and operate license compliance programs focused on end-user customers and channel partners and has helped companies recover millions of dollars of revenue and curb revenue leakage through product innovations and contract modifications.
  • Alex Kochis, Founder, FiveBy Solutions and former Anti-Piracy Director, Windows at Microsoft (News - Alert). Alex was responsible for developing Microsoft's continuing strategy for combating piracy and unlicensed use of its products, and managing one of the largest antipiracy programs that has been launched in the software and technology industry to date.
  • Conroy Shum, Senior Director, Worldwide License Compliance Program, Legal IP Protection Division, Dolby Laboratories (News - Alert). Conroy brings more than 14 years of IP licensing compliance experience, recovering more than $1 billion in compliance revenue during his career. As Sr. Director, WW License Compliance at Dolby Laboratories, Conroy is responsible for leading its royalty compliance efforts throughout the world, with a significant focus in Greater China.
