Veteran's Son Shares New PTSD System For Vietnam Veterans Day

NEW YORK, March 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- For over fifteen years, author and stress relief expert Brett Cotter has been developing and sharing his relaxation tools in companies, schools, and non-profits. With multiple generations of combat veterans in his own family, and seeing too many stories of inadequate care for veterans, Cotter has taken matters into his own hands. "Given the right tools, veterans and soldiers can accomplish anything", Cotter emphatically states, "I wanted to create the best system possible for our heroes, and hand it to them for free."

Cotter created a three-tier PTSD management system that helps veterans predict their reactions, shut down stress real-time, and process the traumatic memories at the root of post-traumatic stress. The system includes a workbook entitled, 3 Keys to Managing PTSD, a mobile app named "PTSD FREE", and a complementary membership to Cotter's online tools. This self-care system empowers veterans with the tools to reverse the effects that stress has on their body. Given that Vietnam Veterans with PTSD are more than twice as likely to develop heart disease, Cotter's goal is to share these tools toavoid future stress related illnesses.

3 Keys to Managing PTSD is dedicated to Cotter's father, a former Marine and Vietnam Veteran who passed away two years ago. The book has won several awards including The Benjamin Franklin Award for Exceptional Content, Design, and Use of Technology, as well as The New Apple Book Award for Motivational Self-Help. The relaxation technique taught in the workbook, mobile app, and online, quickly activates the body's relaxation response and disengages the fight-or-fight reaction. After a month of practice veterans learn how to fall asleep fast and naturally stop their stress in seconds. The entire program is certified by The American Institute of Stress, a trusted resource widely used by companies, schools, and families, throughout the United States and the world.

Brett Cotter is a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, The International Honor Society in Psychology, and The Stress Coaching Association. He also received training from a Shaolin Grand Master and the Himalayan Institute. For more on Brett Cotter's PTSD relief system visit www.StressIsGone.com.
